OrissaPOST spoke to a few students and their parents who shared their happiness because of their result and their anxiety due to the first attempt of board examinations. The students of the City shared their style of preparation and their future aspirations as well.

Expressing her happiness Shubhanshi Mishra from BJB Higher Secondary School who secured 91 per cent marks in Science stream, said that she is delighted with her results. “It was a mixed feeling for me as this was my first board exam and an additional pressure of 12th boards. For preparation, I relied on previous year question papers and not to forget the contribution of the faculties of both my school and coaching. And by God’s grace the previous year question papers have helped me to a great extent.”

Snehasish Kasta who secured 90 per cent in the commerce stream says consistency is the key to success. Satisfied with his marks (540), Snehasish from BJB Higher Secondary School said, “I used to revise my syllabus everyday for 7-8 hours; it has helped me in keeping touch with every topic. My marks have exceeded my expectations as I expected somewhere around 87 per cent. I am satisfied with my performance, so are my parents and that matters a lot to me”. I am aspiring to be a Chartered Accountant; hence my preparation will guide me through B Com and further, added Kasta.

Aryan Pattanayak from Rajdhani College secured 89 per cent in Science stream. He is little dissatisfied with his results. “According to my preparation, I expected above 550 but it cut short in literature subjects and in physics. I have been regular with self preparation of 5-6 hours and revisions but my marks didn’t justify my hard work.

Sai Dutam Panda from Rajdhani College Bhubaneswar belonging to the commerce stream secured 86 per cent in 12th boards. Expressing his expectations, Sai’s grandfather Gyana Nanda Panda said, “As industrious he is, I expected him to score above 90 per cent. But I am very happy with his hard work and I believe he can achieve much more in future as he aspires to be a Cost Accountant.”
