MLA Pradeep Panigrahi expelled from BJD

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Sunday expelled its sitting Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi from the primary membership of the party.

The party informed about the expulsion in an order, mentioning the reason as the legislator’s anti-people activities.

A three-time MLA from Gopalpur Assembly constituency, Pradeep Panigrahi had served as Minister of State (Ind), Higher Education, Science and Technology and Rural Development (Rural Water Supply)  from May 21, 2014 to May 6, 2017.

He was also a member of Library Committee and Public Accounts Committee (2012-13).
