Mumbai: The actress and model of the small screen has accused a pilot of raping her on the pretext of marriage. The police officer said Monday that the woman had lodged a complaint at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai suburb last week, following which an FIR was lodged Monday.
In the statement given to the police, the actress said that in December last year, she met a pilot accused by profession through a matrimonial site and promised to marry her.
According to the complaint, originally a Bhopal resident and a pilot living in Mumbai, often used to talk to the woman over the phone and both of them used to chat on social media as well.
The accused called the victim and expressed his desire to meet her and see her house.
Later, the actress who resides alone in Mumbai agreed to call the pilot home. On arrival, the pilot allegedly raped her.
He said that the accused assured the girl to meet her parents and discuss their marriage but did not keep his promise. The officer said that the actress lodged a police complaint after being upset by the behavior of the accused. The matter is being investigated, he added.
