Modi meets Odisha kids; lavishes praises

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday interacted with the winners of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2019, including Naisargik Lenka and Ayushman Tripathi of Odisha, and congratulated them for their achievements.

Naisargik Lenka received Bal Shakti Puraskar under innovation category while Ayushman Tripathi received the award in scholastic category. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, book vouchers worth Rs 10,000, a certificate and citation.

“Naisargik Lenka is 16 and at such a young age, he worked on innovative solutions for remediation of contaminated soil and water, method of treating municipal waste water and a smart toilet model which has been named ‘Swachh APT’. A fitting recipient of the Bal Shakti Puraskar,” the PM tweeted after meeting Lenka.

While praising Ayushman Tripathi, Modi said, “Odisha’s Ayushman Tripathy has won many accolades for his scholastic abilities at the national and international levels, including at the International Junior Science Olympiad, 2016 held at Bali, Indonesia. He has represented India in global Youth Leaders Conference, 2018 in USA.”
