Bhubaneswar: A memorandum of agreement (MoA) was signed between Airports Authority of India (AAI), BPIA, Bhubaneswar and Capital Hospital for construction of two modular operation theatres (OTs) and one general OT at the hospital with an investment of Rs 4.74 crore.
Similarly, another MoA was signed between Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), Bhubaneswar and CDMO, Cuttack for funding of Rs 6.74 crore for construction of a maternity ward with modern equipment and expansion of existing building of Niali community health centre (CHC).
BPIA, Bhubaneswar will provide the funds as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Health and Family Welfare department commissioner-cum-secretary Pramod Kumar Meherda.
BPIA Director Suresh Chandra Hota signed on behalf of AAI while H&FW special secretary Haraprasad Pattanaik signed on behalf of the department.
