Mokshyam concludes on a high note

Bhubaneswar: The week-long national painting exhibition Mokshyam organised by Indian Contemporary Artists’ Association concluded on a high note at Suvadra Art Gallery here Saturday.

Addressing the gathering on the concluding day of the event, Narendra Kumar Swain, MP, said, “It’s an honour for Odisha that such magnanimous art exhibitions are taking place here. Artists from across India have showcased their talent and creativity through this show.”

Main speaker on the occasion Prassana Pattsani, MP, also encouraged the artists saying, “Odisha is a place of art and what could be more appropriate than to showcase the art of so many artists at this remarkable forum”.

Around 80 artistes from all over India, including Odisha, participated in the event. The prominent participating artists included Md Anwar, Binodini Behera, Raghunath Sahu, Sunil Dakua, Sujata Behera, Srikanta Das, P Shyamsundar Acharaya, Parteek Panda and Nibrut Sethi.

Several artists and art critics were feted on the occasion, including Biswajit Moharana (ceramic), Lalat Kishore Pradhan (sculpture), Ajay Kumar Mohanty (contemporary art), Manoja Kumar Mohanty (modern art), Arun Kumar Palur (water colour), Bhikari charan Behera (senior painter), Tikan Biswaranajan Mishra (photo journalist) and others.Secretay of Indian Contemporary Artists’ Association Sanjib Biswal Proposed vote of thanks.
