Bhubaneswar: Monsoon is likely to remain weak in Odisha over next four days, regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Sunday said.

The weather agency in its weather bulletin issued a Yellow Warning for thunderstorms and lightning over several districts of Odisha.

Upto 8.30 AM of August 28: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak districts.

In the same timeframe, Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

From 8.30 AM of August 28 to 8.30 AM of August 29: As per the weather agency light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Odisha.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a generally cloudy sky with the possibility of development of thunder or lightning is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 34 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.

In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 35.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Paradeep while the lowest minimum temperature of 22.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Nabarangpur, the weather bulletin informed.
