Monumental National Flag unveiled at Cuttack railway station

Cuttack: Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Co-operation Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain and Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab Friday inaugurated a newly constructed road under-bridge (RUB) at Radhakishorepur railway station. Mahtab also unveiled a Monumental National Flag at Cuttack railway station.

The RUB constructed at a cost of Rs 3.75 crore at Radhakishorepur railway station would help passengers and nearby villagers to access both the sides of the train line in view of safety of both rail and road users. This will also help the differently-abled to a great extent, said Kalyan Patnaik, additional divisional railway Manager, East Coast Railway, Khurda Road.

According to sources, the 4-metre wide and 2.75-metre high bridge having the barrel length of 68 metre crosses Route No. 1 to 4 & Platform no. 1 & 2 of Radhakishorepur yard. The project is part of track doubling work of Barang-Rajathagarh Rail line constructed by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). In view of safety of both rail and road users, the RUB has been constructed replacing the level crossing.

Earlier in the day, Mahtab inaugurated the Monumental National Flag at Cuttack railway station. The flag was set up to improve the aesthetics of railway station. The flag mast is of 100 feet in height (30.5 metre) and the dimension of flag is 30 feet in length and 20 feet in breadth. Total expenditure incurred for execution of this work was Rs 8.27 lakh.
