New Delhi: Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrated Thursday which incidentally was India’s National Sports Day by playing golf with his teammate Kedar Jadhav in the United States.
Sporting his new bandana look mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen flaunting his salt and pepper look with a club in hand alongside Kedar Jadhav’s on the latter’s Instagram post.
“Happy National Sports Day to all of you. Remembering Dhyanchandji, the wizard of hockey,” Jadhav captioned the picture while dedicating the post to hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand whose birthday, August 29 is celebrated as the National Sports Day.
Jadhav is not part of the India Test team currently participating in the two-match Test series against the West Indies. Dhoni on the other hand has has taken a two-month break from the cricket and is currently in the United States with his family. Prior to that Dhoni served his time with the Territorial Army in Ladakh.
The 38-year-old Dhoni had made himself unavailable for the T20I series against West Indies. However, he has not been included in the India squad for the T20I series against South Africa beginning next month. It is not known whether the selectors or BCCI officials had talked to Dhoni before excluding him from the squad.
