Bhubaneswar: ‘Sanju’, the biopic on Bollywood’s bad boy Sanjay Dutt, is an eagerly awaited release slated for this year. Ranbir Kapoor plays Dutt in the biopic and his re-enactment of the scene from Munna Bhai in which Sanjay asks the dean, “Wo bahar casualty mein koi marne ke halat mein raha toh usko form bharna zaruri hain kya?”, is already getting rave reviews.
Director Rajkumar Hirani has tweeted, “Hope you have as much fun watching this scene from ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ as I had recreating it after 15 years.”
The teaser has created great interest among film buffs in the city, too. Satya Narayan Sahoo, an avowed fan of Munna Bhai MBBS, said, “I have watched ‘Munna Bhai’ many times and I loved that scene. I am waiting to watch Ranvir play the scene in the movie.”
Ritika Satapathy, another Dutt fan, said, “Ranbir Kapoor was the perfect choice to play the role of Sanjay Dutt. His acting as the bad boy is convincing.”
Sashanka Maharana was all praise for the director as he had included the scene in Sanju. “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S was a super-hit. The director had showcased both positive and negative sides of Dutt in that movie. Adding this scene, the film-maker has allured the viewers to this biopic on Dutt,” he said.
The songs and the trailer of ‘Sanju’ are already a hit. All are eagerly awaiting its release June 29.
