Phulnakhara: A 35-year-old man, who had been working as a labourer at a brick kiln on Kuakhai river bank near Old Kacharamala village here, died under mysterious circumstances Thursday.
According to Cuttack Sadar police, Mantu Singh was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack in the afternoon after he complained of acute chest pain. “However, Singh was pronounced dead on arrival,” a senior official of Cuttack Sadar police said, adding they have registered a case (2/19) of unnatural death in this regard.
The official said they are yet to ascertain Singh’s native place. “Singh’s family will be informed about his demise. This apart, we’re waiting for the autopsy report to take further action,” the official added.
