Bolangir: Mystery shrouded the death of a man whose body was recovered from a passenger bus which was en route to Bolangir from Balasore, Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Rabindra Kumar Samant, 55, of Hidigaon village under Chandipur police limits in Balasore district.
According to sources, the bus left Balasore Thursday night and reached Bolangir town Friday morning at around 7.00am. While all passengers got down from the bus, Samant was found unconscious on his seat.
The bus staff, assuming he was asleep, tried to wake him up but in vain. They then informed the police. A police team reached the bus and took Samant to Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
While no exact reason of his death is known, police have sent the body for autopsy and started a probe.
