Bhubaneswar: In an attempt to create awareness against the increasing crimes against women, Dev Sanskriti Yog Vidayalaya held a press meet on ‘Stop Women’s Molestation- A Social Revolution’ at Nehru Yuva Kendra here Tuesday.
The members said they want to educate children as nowadays their safety in their own houses cannot be guaranteed. The organisation informed that they would be conducting workshops at various government-run and private schools and colleges with the theme Nari Tu Narayani. They are making videos which will be dubbed in different folk languages so as to connect with the rural folk and have a greater reach.
Talking to Orissa POST about the meet, Biswaranjan Rath, director of Dev Sanskriti Yog Vidayalaya, said, “The aim behind organising such a meet is to discuss and educate people about the new laws and amendments pertaining to women safety. We will persuade schools to include moral education and yoga in their syllabus.”
Bilasini Sahoo, Coordinator of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Pariwar Odisha, Banaja Basini Tripathy, member of Divine India Youth Association, students and principals of several schools and women social workers among several others were present at the meet.
