Bargarh: In a curious case, Bargarh district administration was recently found printing an inaccurate symbol of the National Flag on its Independence Day celebration invitation card.
Bargarh district administration will celebrate 75th Independence Day at George High School field this year. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari is expected to attend the function as the chief guest. The district administration has also invited journalists to attend the function. The journalists received invitation cards Thursday. They immediately pointed out the design of the card that shows an inaccurate symbol of the National Flag.
The card had a vertical strip of saffron colour and green colour on its left side. There was an Ashoka Chakra in the middle of these two colours. It missed the white colour in the middle.
When the mistake was pointed out to the district administration, they hastily printed fresh invitation cards, correcting the error. However, the negligence is being denounced by denizens here.
