Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday directed the officials to complete the construction of the Haridaspur-Kendrapara Railway line by September this year.
Reviewing the progress of the construction of the 47 KM long Railway line at a meeting here, Patnaik asked the Kendrapara District administration to continue the construction work at all points uninterruptedly.
The Chief Minister also directed the Energy Department and the OPTCL to complete Kendrapara substation by September.
The local MP and MLAs were asked to extend their full cooperation in the construction work.
All primary work required for the movement of a passenger train on the line should be completed, Patnaik said.
On completion, the Railway line would fulfill the long-standing dream of Kendrapara people, he remarked.
