Rourkela: BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik held a road show for party nominee for Raghunathpalli Assembly seat, Subrat Tarai, Tuesday. The campaign by the Chief Minister has bolstered the prospects of Tarai.
In the afternoon, Patnaik held a road show at Laxmi market, Tarpur, Laltanki, Auto Colony, Modern India area, Loknath market, Pani Tanki bazaar, Nabakrushan Chhak and Fertiliser Township in Rourkela.
The Chief Minister was welcomed by huge crowds on the way. Addressing from a high-tech bus at Raghunathpalli, Patnaik started his speech with Jai Jagannath. He asked the people in his typical style: “Are you happy/ I’m happy.”
He urged the people to vote for MLA nominee Subrat Tarai and MP nominee Sunita Biswal. At places, there were huge crowds along the way to catch a glimpse of the Chief Minister.
The road show was said to be successful.
