Naveen Patnaik greets people on Akshaya Tritiya, Eid & World Press Freedom Day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday greeted the people on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Eid Ul Fitr and World Press Freedom Day.

Patnaik, who is scheduled to attend a series of programmes on the day in a message said that Akshaya Tritiya is also observed as the Farmers Day in the state. “Seek blessings of Lord Jagannath on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya and wish happiness and prosperity of farmers. I greet all the cultivators of Odisha on the auspicious Day,” Patnaik said in a twitter post.

Patnaik in another tweet Tuesday said: “Warm greets on the auspicious occasion of #EidUlIFitr. May the spirit of #Eid bring happiness, peace, prosperity and lead us in the path of compassion and love.”

Taking to Facebook, Patnaik said: “Warm greetings to all media persons around the world on #WorldPressFreedomDay. Commend the exemplary commitment of journalists to gather and disseminate unbiased information with professional ethics- often risking their own lives in the pursuit of stories.”
