Balasore: The valedictory ceremony of ‘Mahindra Pride Classroom’ was held recently after a month-long training programme under the MoU signed between the Fakir Mohan University and Naandi Foundation, Hyderabad. Vice-Chancellor Prof Santosh Kumar Tripathi, PG Council chairman Professor Sabyasachi Patnaik, Director of Student Welfare Dr Nihar Ranjan Raut, Regional Head of Naandi Foundation, Debnath Baral, State Coordinator Munmun Singh were among the dignitaries present at the programme. Realising the need to impart knowledge along with personality development and imparting communication skills, the training programme was successfully implemented within a month due to the efforts of Professor Tripathi, officials said. The vision of ‘Mahindra Pride Classroom’ is to empower urban girl students through skill development training and equip them with employability skills, enabling them to gain employment opportunities in various fields.
A total of 450 students of the university were divided into seven groups and received training. One topper and three students from each group were awarded by Naandi Foundation for their best performance and all the students were given certificates of participation.
In the coming days, all kinds of qualitative efforts will be made at the university to improve the collective personality of the students and create employment opportunities, the dignitaries said. Heads of various departments and students of the university were present during the programme.
