Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Railways has decided to introduce a daily Sewa Express train between Bhubaneswar and Nayagarh Town beginning October 15.
Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal will inaugurate Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express, along with other nine Sewa Express trains in different parts of the country, through videoconferencing from New Delhi, October 15.
Ministers Padmanabha Behera, Arun Kumar Sahoo and Ashok Chandra Panda, MPs Pinaki Mishra and Aparajita Sarangi and MLAs Ananta Narayan Jena and Susant Kumar Rout will attend the inaugural occasion to be held at Bhubaneswar railway station.
“Inaugural run of the train will commence from Bhubaneswar October 15. This train will leave Bhubaneswar at 6.40pm and reach Nayagarh Town at 8.45pm. While returning, this train will leave Nayagarh Town at 6.30am and arrive at Bhubaneswar station at 9.00am,” said a release from the national transporter.
In view of introduction of the train, the national transporter has decided to revise the timings of earlier running passenger trains between Khurda Road and Nayagarh Town for operational feasibility.
58431 Khurda Road-Nayagarh Town Passenger will leave Khurda Road at 8.20am instead of earlier timings at 7.15am and reach Nayagarh Town at 9.45am instead of earlier timings at 8.55am. While returning, 58432 Nayagarh Town-Khurda Road passenger will leave Nayagarh Town at 10.00am instead of earlier timings at 9.20am and reach Khurda Road at 11.45am instead of earlier timing at 11.05am.
Similarly, 58429 Khurda Road-Nayagarh Town Passenger will leave Khurda Road at 8.15pm instead of earlier timings at 7.30pm and will reach Nayagarh Town at 9.40pm instead of earlier timings at 9.10pm. In return direction, the timings of 58430 Nayagarh Town-Khurda Road passenger will remain unchanged. This train will leave Nayagarh Town at 5.00am and reach Khurda Road at 6.45am, the release added.
