Puri: Niladri Bije, which signifies the return of Lord Jagannath and His siblings to the sanctum sanctorum of Srimandir, following their 12-day-long sojourn will be held Saturday night.
Niladri Bije ritual of the Lords includes the traditional offering of ‘Rasagola’ by Lord Jagannath to pacify Goddess Laxmi – who is believed to be miffed over not being taken on the journey to Gundicha temple.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the rituals.
Lord Jagannath and his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Devi Subhadra were offered ‘Adhara Pana’, a rich drink for the salvation of ghostly bodies and other spirits Friday night from their respective chariots.
