Nitish Kumar, Mamata, Kejriwal greet PM Modi on his 69th birthday

Patna/Kolkata/New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and BJP leaders on the occasion of his 69th birthday Tuesday.

The chief minister wished good health and a long life to the prime minister on his birthday, an official release said.

Union minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai tweeted, “Your personality is a source of inspiration for all of us.”

As part of the celebrations, a photo exhibition on the Prime Minister’s life will be inaugurated by the deputy chief minister at the state headquarters of the BJP here, party’s media in-charge Pankaj Singh said.

On the occasion, state Health Minister Mangal Pandey will inaugurate a health camp at the same venue, he said.

Mamata Banerjee wishes PM

Mamata Banerjee also wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Banerjee, who is likely to meet the Prime Minister in New Delhi Wednesday for discussions on administrative issues, wrote on her Twitter handle, “Birthday greetings to Prime Minister @narendramodi ji.”

Banerjee has been one of the harshest critics of the BJP and Modi. West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar also extended his greetings to PM Modi, saying the nation is scaling new heights under PM Modi’s leadership.

Arvind Kejriwal greets PM Modi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal too greeted Modi and wished him a long and healthy life.

Gujarat-born Modi began the day with a visit to the Statue of Unity and the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the River Narmada in his home state.

He was greeted by several leaders, including Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP president and Home Minister Amit Shah.

Kejriwal also joined in extending his greetings on Twitter: “Happy birthday to Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji. We wish him a long and healthy life.”
