Rourkela: With three international placements, the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) has registered the highest-ever number of jobs offered during campus placements for the academic year 2022-23. More than 330 companies visited the campus and made a total of 1,534 job offers. This resulted in the placement of more than 95 per cent of students from the flagship B. Tech program.
In the branches like Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation and Ceramic Engineering as well as dual degree in Mining and Ceramic Engineering recorded 100 per cent placement of registered students. In the process, 24 students secured a package of more than Rs 50 LPA.
Among them, eight bagged the highest package of Rs 52.89 LPA. There is also a significant surge in offers across diverse sectors reaching unprecedented levels. The average (overall) CTC jumped from Rs 11.15 LPA in 2021-2022 to Rs 12.95 LPA in 2022-2023 achieving an increase of more than 16 per cent. The average CTC of B. Tech for this year is Rs 14.22 LPA.
