Bhubaneswar: Delhi-based journalist Abhijit Iyer Mitra Friday failed to submit his affidavit before the house committee on his alleged derogatory remarks against MLAs and the State Assembly. The committee has given him one more day, the last chance for him, to do so. Earlier, Iyer had been asked by the panel to appear before it November 2 and submit the affidavit.
“As he (Abhijit) could not submit his affidavit on the day and has sought one day more, the committee took note of this and gave him a last chance to submit his affidavit tomorrow,” chairperson of the committee Narasingha Mishra told reporters. Iyer Mitra had appeared before the panel October 23 and tendered an unconditional apology.
