Bhubaneswar: The state government issued a notification Wednesday announcing auction of four mineral blocks in the state.
As per the notification of the steel and mines department, three limestone mines and one manganese mine will be put on e-auction.
The government has issued notice inviting tenders for Uskalvagau, Kottameta and Garramura limestone mines and Lasarda-Pacheri manganese ore mine. The mines are located in Malkangiri, Nuapada and Keonjhar districts.
Mines director Deepak Mohanty said the last date for purchase of tender documents is December 5 and the last date for submission of bids is December 12 this year.
“The government is hoping to complete the e-auction process of these mines by January,” Mohanty said.
The state government had previously issued auction notifications for two limestone blocks including Garramura in January which failed to receive any takers. So far, the state government has auctioned only one iron ore mine as per the amended Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 2015.
