Vivek Oberoi started to make the headlines starting yesterday after he shared a meme on social media which apparently took a jibe at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s personal life. Following the same, the actor received a backlash from the people on the internet as well as his Bollywood counterparts.
Soon the issue snowballed into a controversy and later National Commission For Women sent him a notice demanding explanation over his tweet on exit polls. While the actor initially refused to apologise for sharing a mere meme, he did so earlier today on his social media handle.
However, the damage was done and it was too late for the actor to control the meme fest that had already spread like wild fire on the internet.
