National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited has invited applications for as many as 495 engineering executive trainee positions.
Eligible candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for the official website of NTPC at careers.ntpc.co.in.
According to the official notification, selection for the positions will be based on the GATE 2023 score. The registration process for the recruitment drive commenced October 6, 2023 and is scheduled to end October 20, 2023.
Vacancy details:
- Electrical: 120 posts
- Mechanical: 200 posts
- Electronics/ Instrumentation: 80 posts
- Civil: 30 posts
- Mining: 65 posts
Eligibility criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with a minimum of 65% marks, in accordance with the norms set by their respective Institute/University.
- Have participated in the GATE 2023 examination.
- Be under 27 years of age as of the last date of online application.

Selection process:
Eligible candidates must have appeared for GATE 2023 and successfully qualified it. The shortlisting of candidates for document verification will be based on their GATE 2023 performance.

Application fees:
Candidates belonging to the General/EWS/OBC categories are required to submit a non-refundable application fee of Rs300.
SC/ ST/ PwBD/ XSM category and female candidates are exempted from paying any application fees.

Salary/ Compensation package:
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs40,000-1,40,000 at the basic pay of Rs40,000 (E1 Grade). The other benefits such as DA, other prerequisites and allowances, terminal benefits, etc will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during the training/ absorption period.
