BHUBANESWAR: Popular Indian music producer, Udyan Sagar aka Nuclyea is all set to rock music lovers of the capital city with Mumbai-based hip-hop band Bombay Bassment scheduled to perform at Xavier University here Sunday.
Nucleya first stepped into the scene as one-half of Bandish Projekt before he had even finished school. Many years later, after shifting base a few times due to experimentation, Nucleya ultimately decided to go solo and achieved phenomenal success.
In the last five years, Nucleya has released two EPs and two albums, filled a stadium to capacity in what went down as one of the most ground-breaking gigs in India, released an album with a gig on the streets during Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai, travelled the world gigging and featured in a Red Bull Media House documentary about his life, ‘Ride To The Roots.’
One of the country’s longest-standing hip-hop bands, Mumbai-based Bombay Bassment has been around since 2010. They’re known for their high-energy live shows and have three well-received albums to their name. Since their inception, the band has played at some of the foremost music festivals in the country, including NH7 Weekender, Vh1 Supersonic, and more, as well as international festivals such as Glastonbury in the UK and the Kaloo Bang Festival in the Reunion Islands.
