Odia IPS officer in charge of security for Bhumi Pujan ceremony at Ayodhya

Jeypore: With security arrangement being a herculean task for Uttar Pradesh Police ahead of the Bhumi Pujan ceremony at Ayodhya Wednesday, the state police department has entrusted this task to an Odia IPS officer.

IPS officer and Additional Director General (ADG) Satya Narayan Sabat belongs to Paninala Sahi of Jeypore town in Koraput district.

Born in Jeypore in 1964, after completion of his graduation, Satya Narayan continued his higher studies in physics. He has successfully worked in different positions for UP Police and CRPF as well since 1990.

The Bhumi Pujan ritual for the proposed Ram Mandir at Ayodhya has been scheduled to be performed Wednesday. Several dignitaries including chief guest of the event Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be present on the occasion.

Satya Narayan was also entrusted the charge of law and order for the last Kumbh Mela held in the state.
