Kendrapara: Sonu Sood has been hailed as the real hero for standing with the poor and helping thousands of migrant workers return home. The actor has been winning hearts with his kindness and love.

Everyone is mighty pleased with his help and is thanking him in every possible way. But, an Odia migrant worker’s unique way of thanking Sonu has now become the talk of the town.

As a token of love towards Sonu Sood who had helped him to return his native place when he stranded at Kerala without food and money, Prashant Kumar Pradhan, a 32-year-old young man from Chinchiri village under Rajnagar block in Kendrapara district has opened a welding shop and named it as ‘Sonu Sood Welding Work Shop’.

Source said, Prashant was working as a plumber in a company near Kochi airport in Kerala district. There he was earning Rs. 700 per day. However, amid the coronavirus pandemic, Prashant lost his job.

He managed to survive at the place without job for few months but later his money started drying up. After consulting with other workers he decided to return his home in Kendrapara district by Shramik Special train, but he failed in collecting tickets.

With the help of his parents he also contacted some local politicians but they expressed their helplessness in this situation to help Prashant. After getting failure from several places, Prashant had lost every hope to return back to his native place. However, during this crucial time God sent an angel for him in the form of Sonu Sood.

Sood arranged a special flight to send all the Odia stranded migrant workers back to Odisha.  Prashant was touched by Sonu Sood for his kindness and help. However, he had been looking for an opportunity to thank Sood in a different way.

Meanwhile, with no income source back home, Prashant decided to open a wielding shop, to meet the expenditure of his family. With financial help from family, relatives and friends, Prashant opened a wielding shop at Hatina, around 140km from Bhubaneswar and found the real way to thank Sonu Sood.

He called Sood to take his permission to name the welding shop after his name. And Sood without any question said a big yes for the same. Sonu also wished Prashant luck for his new journey.

Expressing his love towards Prashant, Sonu said, “The welding shop will do really well and Prashant will be great entrepreneur in future. Whenever I come to Odisha or Kendrapara, I will visit his shop. I will also try my hands at welding”.
