Odia runners-up at EXPEDITION

Bhubaneswar: Amrit Kashyap from Rourkela, an alumnus of Whistling Woods International, the film institute founded by Subhash Ghai, has come runners-up at the reality show ‘EXPEDITION-Season 1’. He also took home a YAMAHA Fz25 from the show. At the show, Amrit earned the title ‘overachiever’.

Kashyap, an actor, anchor and model, is student of Shiamak Davar Dance academy, Mumbai. “It is always a proud moment to represent your state at the national level. I always wanted to be at the top of my game at whatever I did. My hunger to achieve has doubled with this win,” he said.

‘EXPEDITION’ is a television-YouTube reality show that features 12 young ‘voyagers’ (6 boys and as many girls), who embark on road trips across India’s unexplored villages and small towns. It focuses on the various circumstances they face in the course of their journey. They are challenged to come out of their comfort zones and broaden their horizons as they understanding and adapt to the rural way of life. The finite series of 18 episodes include the auditions and the journey.

Amrit is a postgraduate with an MBA and has worked as celebrity manager for Vidhu Vinod Chopra, whose company has produced films such as ‘PK’, ‘3 idiots’ and ‘Munna bhai’. He has also worked on music videos — the latest one with Zee Music company titled ‘Zindagi Mujhe Pukare’ as lead actor.
