Bhubaneswar: Odisha Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the annual Budget 2023-24 in the Assembly at 4 pm Friday.

It can be mentioned here that this is the BJD government’s fifth term’s final full-fledged budget.
The Council of Ministers has already given their approval to the 2.3 lakh crore Budget.  Meanwhile, the Economic Survey report was released Thursday.

Odisha Economic Survey key points:

Odisha’s economy is estimated to grow at 7.8 per cent in real terms in comparison to the national rate of 7 per cent during the current financial year 2022-23.

The survey projects economic growth in the range of 8 to 8.5 per cent for the financial year 2023-24 in real terms.

Assuming a favourable monsoon, and no further disruption in global supply chains and moderation in inflation, the growth range of 8 to 8.5 per cent seems feasible for Odisha in FY 2023-24 in real terms, the report said, adding that the state is expected to grow at a rate higher than the national average growth.
