Bhubaneswar: The state government has won a ‘State Leadership Award’ in skill development at the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) Industry Excellence Awards 2023.
The award recognises the Odisha government’s efforts towards building a skilled workforce that can drive the growth of the energy storage industry in the country.
By honouring trailblazers who have made significant contributions to the country’s energy storage industry, through the Industry Excellence Awards 2023 India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) celebrated the spirit of innovation and excellence in the industry.
Congratulating the awardees, IESA president Rahul Walawalkar said, “It was a privilege to get an opportunity to honour the tremendous behind-the-scene work done by various policymakers and bureaucrats from various ministries and acknowledge their achievements.
I would also like to congratulate the startups, world class organisations and energy leaders on their win in this prestigious award programme.” Recently the state government had organised first Odisha Skill Conclave at Kalinga stadium from April 20 to 22 where the state’s achievements in skilling, and the vast existing and emerging opportunities across sectors were put on display.
The government had signed several MoUs to promote skilling and create a robust skill ecosystem with leading organisations and institutions in the state.
Furthermore, the state government has allocated a budget of Rs 100 crore for the ‘NUA Odisha’ scheme under which it plans to train 1, 00, 000 youth in future technologies like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, augmented reality-virtual reality, data science, 3-d printing, and other advanced knowledge.
