Bhadrak: Odisha BJP state council member Biswajit Behera has resigned from the primary membership of the saffron party.
He sent his resignation to state unit president Basant Panda Tuesday over e-mail.
Speaking to reporters, Behera accused that the party has deviated from its path. “Instead of making a ‘Congress mukt Bharat’, some of the leaders are engaged in making a ‘Congress yukt party’ here,” he alleged while adding that he has resigned in protest of these new additions to BJP.
Biswajit, a native of Puruna hata village under Tihidi block, had served the party as a block president and district vice-president.
