Odisha Cabinet approves rural drinking water projects for 14 blocks, 2 NACs in 3 districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet Saturday approved three rural piped water supply projects to provide safe drinking water to people in 14 blocks in Sundargarh and Cuttack districts and two NAC in Keonjhar district.

All the projects are targeted to be completed within 24 months.

Chief Secretary S C Mohapatra said the cabinet approved a Rural Water Supply project to provide safe drinking water in Bisra, lathikata, Lahunipara and Bonai blocks of Sundargarh district out of OMBADC funding.

The execution of the project will benefit 2,59,617 people in four blocks.

The cabinet approved the lowest tender of M/S JMC Projects India lTD in JV with SPML infra Ltd Mumbai amounting Rs 388,81,87,380 for the execution of the work.

The cabinet approved another rural piped water project to be executed out of OMBADC and DMF funding in six blocks such as Balishankar, Lepripada, Tamarapalli, Sundargarh, Subdega and Baragaon blocks of Sundargarh districts.

As many as 3,78,790 people are likely to be benefitted by the execution of the project.

The cabinet approved the lowest tender of JMC Projects India Limited in Joint Venture with SPML Infra Ltd, Mumbai amounting to Rs 786,66,55,380 for the execution of the projects.

The cabinet approved the lowest tender of JMC Project Ltd Mumbai amounting to Rs 275,3983,960 for the execution of a rural pipe water project in Athagarh, Tigiria, Banki and Tangi blocks of Cuttack district.

The project would be implemented out of JMM funding and would benefit 2,61,978 people.

The cabinet also approved a proposal to award contract to the lowest bidder M/S P C Snehal Construction Pvt Ltd Ahmedabad offer of Rs.103.855 crore including GST to provide interrupted supply of safe and clean drinking water of drink from tap quality in Joda and Champua NAC of Keonjhar districts.
