Bhubaneswar: As many as 2,993 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in last 24 hours bringing the total number of infections so far in Odisha to 78,530, official data suggested Sunday.
According to Department of Information and Public Relations (I&PR) of the state government, out of the 2,993 infections, 1,879 were reported from quarantine centres and 1,114 were local cases.
Meanwhile, Odisha recorded 10 new deaths bringing the death toll to 409.
The state has so far conducted 13,02,711 tests.
According to state government data as of Sunday, 78,530 people have so far tested positive for COVID-19 in the state out of which 25,792 cases are active, 52,276 have recovered and 409 persons have died. As many as 53 others who tested positive for COVID-19 have so far died of other underlying conditions.
