Odisha expects massive development from new regime

Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to form government in the state as it pulled off a convincing victory in the Assembly by securing 78 seats out of 147, restricting the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) to 51.

Post the victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Thank you Odisha! It’s a resounding victory for good governance and celebrating the state’s unique culture. BJP will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling the dreams of people and taking Odisha to new heights of progress. I am very proud of all our hardworking party workers for their efforts.”

Meanwhile, the people of the state expressed hope that the new government in the state will bring development and changes. Krishna Rath a netizen from the City said, “Odisha has voted for change. We expect jobs and industries here.

Our natural resources should be used to build factories and industries here. We need to develop ports in Odisha so that the Kolkata port can be decongested. We need more IT developments in the City so that Bangalore and Pune can be saved from massive overpopulation.” Bidyutkesh Mishra said, “Dear Prime Minister, it’s been a long wait. We hope for the development of my state. Now time has come for ‘walk the talk’. Please don’t disappoint us.” Satyajit Routray said, “We have trusted you this time to see the massive development in Odisha. We want employment opportunities, developed railway stations, neat and clean highways as well as village roads, improved educational institutions and facilities for downtrodden villages.”
