Keonjhar: The body of fallen CRPF jawan Sushant Khuntia was consigned to flames Saturday at his native place near Anandapur in Keonjhar district with state honours.
The soldier who was killed in action in an encounter with Maoists in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district.
Upon arrival in Anandapur, the body was taken to the cremation ground accompanied by a vast gathering of people. The funeral of Khuntia was also attended by numerous prominent figures from the region.

The fateful encounter broke out in a forest in Tonto area, about 160 kilometres away from Ranchi, at around 11am when a joint team of police and CRPF was carrying out a search operation against Maoists.
