Odisha FC seek to level up against FC Goa on home turf

Odisha FC will look to make it two home wins in a row in the Hero Indian Super League as the Juggernutes will host FC Goa at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar on the 6th of February 2023 at 7:30 pm IST.

 

Last week’s draw over CFC helped the Juggernutes climb to sixth place with 23 points, but they will need the three points against the Gaurs to build on the momentum from the last game. FCG, standing 5th with 26 points, coming to the fixture after two consecutive wins against Kerala Blasters FC and East Bengal FC.

 

Odisha FC and FC Goa played their first game of this season’s Hero ISL fixture in dramatic fashion at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa. The Juggernauts were reduced to ten men in the 65th minute when Nandhakumar Sekar was shown a second yellow, and FC Goa made the visitors pay with all three goals coming after. Both teams have faced each other in 7 matches in the Hero ISL. Out of which, FC Goa has won 5 while 2 games ended in a draw.

 

Josep Gombau: “This match is very important for us, even if every game is important for us we will try our best to get all three points at home. We are so excited to play tomorrow here in front of our fans. If we win tomorrow it will be a very big step for us in the league.”
