Odisha gets 4 more KVs

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet Thursday approved setting up of four new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in three districts of Odisha. According to a statement from the Cabinet, the KVs would be set up at Anandapur and Champua in Keonjhar district, Chhatrapur in Ganjam district and Gunupur in Rayagada district. The Cabinet has approved setting up of 50 new KVs all over the country. Briefing the media after the meeting, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the KVs are proposed to be opened in the Civil/Defense Sector and once they are fully functional they will provide quality education to approximately 50,000 students.
