Odisha government asks MBA institutions to start admissions

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government directed Tuesday the chairman of Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) to start admission of students in all the MBA institutions the state for the academic year 2020-21

 The Odisha government has released a letter in this regard also. In the letter the Skill Development and Technical Education Department Joint Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh said, “The Government has decided to allow the MBA institutions of Odisha to enroll students in their respective institutions in spot round of counselling process on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying UG exams.”

According to the department, the candidates who have appeared in any of the entrance tests for admission in MBA institutions and have qualified will be given first preference for admission. Their marks obtained in degree course examinations will not be considered as long as they have secured the minimum number mentioned in the OJEE brochure.

The letter also states,” All other clauses for admissions shall remain same. This relaxation to the MBA institutions shall be applicable for the Academic Year 2020-21 only and this cannot be taken as a precedent for the future academic years.”
