Odisha govt releases SOP for holiday homework programme

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has come up with a standard operating procedure (SOP) to guarantee the effective execution of the summer vacation homework plan for school students.

According to an official statement from the Department of School and Mass Education, a summer holiday homework programme will be conducted for government school students of Class-I to X commencing Monday. All district administrations have been directed to adhere to the SOP strictly.

Beginning May 1, a helpdesk has been set up in each district for the vacation education programme. Each centre has four teachers, including subject specialists, who will assist the students with their homework. Except on holidays, the cell will be functional from 6 am to 6 pm every working day. The students can call the assistance desk at no cost by dialling a toll-free number, the SOP stated.

After connecting with the hotline, any homework-related questions asked by the students will be addressed. Teachers will assist students in finding solutions to their queries.
