Bhubaneswar: Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo, Wednesday, said that extra precaution has been taken in admission process in the colleges to ensure that no student is left behind during the admission this year.
The minister said this at an orientation programme held for 120 newly recruited teachers of Odia department selected by State Selection Board (SSB) for the non-government aided colleges here Wednesday.
“We are also taking steps to complete recruitment of more number of teachers in several colleges in the state,” said the minister and added that development of Odia language and literature would be possible with the help of Odia teachers who can inspire future generation in taking up the language and work for its expansion.
On the occasion, Higher Education department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Saswat Mishra said that the new teachers must prepare themselves mentally to adapt to any type of pressure and must not be afraid of tackling any issue.
“They must learn the qualities of leadership and administration and must not be afraid of teaching at any places in the state.” Many a times teachers are seen requesting for teaching job near their native areas or distracts but they should be ready to impart education and knowledge at any place or district across the state, Mishra added.
