Bhubaneswar: Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha Tuesday directed the opening of official X (formerly Twitter) social media handles at all health facilities, as per the instruction of Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Odisha.
In a notification dated June 18, 2024, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government Shalini Pandit instructed all District Headquarters Hospitals (DHHs), Sub-Divisional Hospitals (SDHs), Community Health Centers (CHCs), and Primary Health Centers (PHCs) to open official social media handle ‘X’. The directive specifies that these accounts will be in the designation of the Medical Officer in Charge of each facility.
“Further on opening of this social media handle ‘X’, all concerned should be responsive to the needs of the people as expressed through social media,” stated the notification.
Compliance regarding the opening of such social media accounts is to be submitted within three working days to the DHS, Odisha.
