Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Sunday issued a Yellow Warning for 10 districts of Odisha.
Till 8.30 AM of March 20, the weather agency predicts that thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kilometre per hour are very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of Odisha.
IMD has issued Yellow Warning (be updated) for Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Kandhamal districts. The agency further predicted thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest of the districts in Odisha.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sundargarh and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha, reported the weather agency.
No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next three days and gradually may rise by 2-4 degree Celsius thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 35.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Bhubaneswar and the lowest minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius was recorded at Nuapada in the state, the IMD bulletin confirmed.
