Odisha: IMD issues Yellow Warning for these districts

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning till March 18 morning, informed the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar Tuesday.

The weather agency has issued a Yellow Warning for Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Angul till Wednesday 8.30 AM.

In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, and Boudh. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.

From 8.30 AM of March 15 to 8.30 AM of March 16: The regional weather agency has issued Yellow Warning for Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Rayagada. These districts are very likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning.

In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Nuapada. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

From 8.30 AM of March 16 to 8.30 AM of March 17: The regional weather agency has issued a Yellow Warning and predicted thunderstorm with lightning for several districts. Gusty surface wind reaching 40-50kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and Kandhamal. Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.
