Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar issued Yellow Warning for as many as eight districts in Odisha, the mid-day bulletin released by the agency said Thursday.
According to the Yellow Warning advisory, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Balasore districts till 8:30 AM of March 24.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Nayagarh, Khurda, Boudh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak district. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha, the bulletin informed.
Maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to rise by 2-4 degree Celsius at many places across the state over the next two days.
The highest maximum temperature of 37.0 degree Celcius was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 16.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Boudh Wednesday.
