Bhadrak: Among the more than 150 people still missing due to the glacier burst in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, there is a 25-year-old youth from Odisha. He has been identified as Nagarjuna Das, a resident of Dhamra area in Bhadrak district. He was working as an electrician at Tapovan Reni barrage under Rishi Ganga Power Project in Uttarakhand since November 5, 2020.
Even though there is every possibility of Nagarjuna being washed away due to the massive floods caused by the glacier burst, his family members have not given up hope. Family members still believe that he is alive.
A source said the last time Nagarjuna’s family members had spoken to him over phone was February 6. Hearing about the calamity, the worried family members had tried to contact Nagarjuna over his mobile, but they have failed to do so. They are yet to receive any information about him. He is married and the couple has a three-month-old baby.
