Cuttack: As many as 69 students from Asureswar 5T High School under Nischintakoili block in Cuttack district have got the same photograph on their respective Odisha matric certificates, a source said Monday.

One of the 69 students said that he is facing issues in getting admission to Plus-II courses as his certificate is not being accepted by the authorities.

Another girl student named Jigyasa Priyadarshini Mishra alleged that at the time of summative assessment-I (SA-I) in Class-X, she had found that her photo on the admit card was replaced with a boy’s.

Mishra said that at that time she had brought the matter in front of the school authorities. The authorities assured her to resolve the issue in SA-II. However, the photo was unchanged on SA-II admit card as well.

Mishra went on to say that ahead of the SA-II examination, a passport-size photo of her was pasted on the boy’s photograph on her admit card and she was assured that the certificate will come with her photograph, which again turned out to be a fake promise.

On the other hand, BSE Odisha vice-president Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said that they have not received any complaint in this regard yet.

Mohanty said that it might have happened due to a technical glitch. He assured to take appropriate action upon receiving complaints in this regard.
