Cuttack: Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has completed all the preparatory measures to carry out Class X Summative Assessment-II starting tomorrow, BSE President Ramashish Hazra said Thursday.
The question papers will reach the concerned examination centres on the same day of the examination. Hence, there is no chance of any leak of question papers, Hazra informed.
The first sitting of the examination will start at 8 am. The question papers will reach the concerned examination centres between 6 am to 7 am with police protection, Hazra further added.
The examinees can only carry their respective admit cards, blue and black pens, pencils and geometry boxes inside the examination centres. Nothing else will be allowed inside, another BSE official informed.
The centre superintendents will search for mobile phones of all the examination officials as there is a complete ban on mobile phones inside the classrooms, the official added.
According to BSE President, special measures have been undertaken for the protection of question papers and other confidential documents which will be kept in 316 nodal centres.
About 22 police stations have been made nodal centres for the examination in Maoist-infested areas of Odisha.
“The Odisha Chief Secretary has already discussed several issues with district Collectors, SPs, and DEOs and instructed them to take elaborate steps to check malpractice during the examination,” said Hazra.
Around 74 squads, including 36 from the Board have been constituted to supervise the conduct of the matriculation examination.
It can be mentioned here that around 5,41,247 students have registered for the High School Certificate (HSC) examination which will be conducted across 3,218 centres in the state this year. The examination will be over March 17, 2023.
