Paralakhemundi: A shockingly shameful incident has been reported from a residential school of Rayagad block in Gajapati district as a Class-VIII girl student died after she was diagnosed with pregnancy.

As per reports, the girl studying in Kshetada Kanyashram, a residential school for girls near Laxmipur, was brought in critical condition to the district headquarters hospital in Paralakhemundi by her family members.

After examination at the district headquarters hospital, it was found that she was three months pregnant.

As per reports, the Class-VIII girl had been at her native village under Ramagiri police limits for the last 20 days owing to school holidays. She suddenly fainted Saturday and was admitted immediately at Rayagada community health centre (CHC) by her family members.

After diagnosis, it was found that she had lack of blood and doctors subsequently forwarded her to the district headquarters hospital (DHH). There it came to light that the pregnant girl was suffering from pneumonia. The girl died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
